I have started this space to serve as a sort of visual blog, to paint with images the sorts of stories that those who have mastered word and language manage so well.

 

These are paintings, very old and quite new, electronic, ink, gouache, graphite... Would that I had kept a better record of the art I have done.  I will add more if I come across them.  It never mattered before, somehow, but now I want the stories told.

 

Perhaps you can see me in these. I have been trying for years to define my soul through art and observation.  Sometimes I come close, and see myself there. Other times I think it is just a wish, and sometimes it is just art.  My wish for the remaining decades of my life is to portray people from my life as I see them (and perhaps not as they see themselves). As I complete sketches, studies and final works, I'll post them here.

 

My hope is that I will create more as a result of writing this, out of obligation or need to fulfil this dream, one among many.
